Fees, locations and the routes that pass through each plaza.
We draw your route on OpenStreetMap roads, find every NHAI and state toll plaza that sits on it, and add up each plaza's published fee for your vehicle class. A return within 24 hours uses the discounted return fee; a return on another day counts two single journeys.
Fuel cost = distance ÷ mileage × fuel price. For a 300 km trip in a car doing 15 km/l with petrol at ₹105, that is 300 ÷ 15 × 105 = ₹2,100. The calculator fills in today's price in your starting state and a typical highway mileage for your vehicle; change either one.
Since 10 April 2026 national highway plazas no longer accept cash. Vehicles without a valid FASTag pay by UPI at 1.25x the normal fee. Choose “No FASTag” in the calculator to see that amount.
The pass costs ₹3,075 for 200 crossings in a year (₹15.38 per crossing) on NHAI-run plazas, for private cars, jeeps and vans only. It pays off if the plazas you usually cross charge more than that — most NH plazas charge ₹80 or more for a car. State-run plazas and expressways are not covered.
No. Motorcycles and scooters are exempt at national highway toll plazas, so the calculator shows only the fuel cost for a two-wheeler.
About 785 plazas — mostly state or municipal ones — don't publish fees in the NHAI dataset. For those we use the median fee for your vehicle class (₹80 for a car) so your budget isn't understated, and mark it clearly.
Routing engines assume free-flowing traffic. We pad that by 30% and add a 15-minute break every three hours, which matches typical Indian highway trips better. Night driving is faster; festival weekends are slower.
Fees are revised every 1 April and some plazas change mid-year, so treat results as a close estimate. Spotted a wrong fee or a missing plaza? Tell us — we fix reported errors within 72 hours and log them on our corrections page.
